Calorie to Cart

Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

Calorie to Cart ("we", "us") is made in Sydney, Australia. We built it to keep as much as possible on your phone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

The short version

What we collect

Your account. When you save your progress we create an account with your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and email they share with us (Apple lets you hide your real email). This is stored with our account provider, Supabase, on servers in Australia.

What you enter in the app. Your sex, age, height, weight, goal, food log, workouts, weigh-ins, allergies, foods you don't eat, store and postcode. These stay on your phone. If we later offer backup or syncing across devices, we'll tell you in the app first and update this policy.

Apple Health. If you allow it, we read your workouts and the energy you burned so we can adjust today's calories. Health data is read on your phone, is not sent to us, and is never used for advertising or shared with anyone.

Subscriptions. Purchases are made through Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (for example, trial active or renewed) through our subscription provider, RevenueCat, linked to an anonymous ID. We never see your card details.

What leaves your phone, and why

Notifications

Trial and meal reminders are scheduled on your phone. You can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings.

Age

Calorie to Cart is for people aged 16 and over. Users aged 16 or 17 can only set a goal to maintain their weight.

Keeping and deleting your data

Data on your phone is deleted when you delete the app. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Delete account) or by emailing us; we'll remove your account details within 30 days. Apple keeps its own purchase records.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing calorietocart@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a privacy matter, you can complain to us, and if it isn't resolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll let you know in the app before the change applies.
